PROCEDURE FOR EMERGENCY SERVICE REQUEST (AFTER MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT HOURS): For emergency problems on nights and weekends. Also, dial (336)226-8421. Tell the answering service your NAME, ADDRESS, PROBLEM AND TELEPHONE NUMBER. You will be talking to a person at the answering service. The answering service will have our Maintenance Man contact you by telephone. It is important that you stay by the telephone until he calls you. Even if you are at a neighbors or a pay phone STAY THERE UNTIL HE RETURNS YOUR CALL. You must give a telephone number to the answering service if it is possible there will not be a response to your problem. He may ask you to do certain things to help. Please assist him as needed. This assistance will enable our men to handle emergency calls efficiently. Please cooperate with the answering service personnel and give them all the correct information. Any service request other than during normal Maintenance Department hours are overtime calls.
IF YOU REQUEST SERVICE AND THE MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL RESPONDS AND DETERMINES THAT YOUR SITUATION IS NOT AN EMERGENCY OR IS RESIDENT NEGLECT, YOU WILL BE CHARGED THE OVERTIME RATE. DO NOT CALL AFTER MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT HOURS FOR ROUTINE MAINTENANCE REPAIRS. DO NOT LET YOUR CHILDREN CALL. The following constitutes EMERGENCIES for after Maintenance Department hours:
1. NO HEAT (IN SEVERE WEATHER ONLY)
2. NO REFRIGERATION
3. NO ELECTRICITY
4. NO HOT WATER
5. BURST WATER LINES
6. ELEVATOR TROUBLE (BURLINGTON HOMES ONLY)
7. FIRE ALARM (BURLINGTON HOMES ONLY)
8. GAS LEAK (DOES NOT APPLY TO SPENCER BROWN THOMAS OR BURLINGTON HOMES)
9. COMMODE STOPPED UP
10. LOCK OUT
* ANY OTHER CONDITIONS CONSIDERED AN EMERGENCY WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE HOUSING AUTHORITY MAINTENANCE MAN ON CALL. |
