Family Self-Sufficiency Programs
The FSS Program is designed to assist families receiving rental assistance through the Public Housing program become self-reliant and economically self-sufficient within five (5) years. This assistance is provided in the form of coordinated supportive services, referrals for education, job training, job placement, and workshops for personal development and life management skills.

Upon admission to the program a needs assessment is done. With the assistance of the FSS Coordinator an Individual Service Plan is completed. The participant must also sign a Contract of Participation making a commitment to become self-reliant and economically independent within five years.
