Burlington Housing Authority is an organization dedicated to providing affordable housing for people in Burlington, NC. In addition to our housing, we offer a wide range of programs and services, from financial planning to after-school and summer programs.

We own, manage, and maintain seven communities (five multi-family and two elderly) throughout the city of Burlington. We own a total of 468 units.

We are also the management agent for Spencer Brown Thomas Homes, a 40 unit complex for elderly and handicapped, owned by First Baptist Church, Apple Street.

Who is Eligible?

All low income individuals and families (single, elderly, hadicapped or disabled). Applicants must have no serious criminal record, good housekeeping standards, and demonstrate bill-paying ability. The BHA has developed a screening process, approved by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), to assist in placement of applicants.

Income Limits

Income limits that determine an individual or family as low income are established by the US Dept of HUD. These income limits are revised annually and based on the median income in our area.
